David will be speaking with Farmer Gary Mazzeo at the Michigan Family Farms Conference on “Courting Buyer Relationships”. In their talk, ‘Picklin’ those products,’ Gary & David will delve into the farm/brinery relationship. This year, Gary has grown just about 20,000# of cabbage for our krauts- to put that into perspective, that will equate to about 61 barrels of kraut once it has finished fermenting!
The overarching theme for the conference this year is “Adventures in Agriculture: Embracing the Many Cultures of Innovation Farming”. Renée Canady, Chief Executive Officer of Michigan Public Health Institute, will offer the keynote address, exploring critical public health connections between diverse farmers and farming as vital partners in the health of our region and nation.
