THANKSGIVING SHARES: We are offering a distribution in November for you to stock up on vegetables before the holiday or for winter storage for $100. This share will be available for pick up on Nov. 19 only (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) at the Ann Arbor Farmers’ Market from 7 AM until noon or at Tantré Farm from 2 until 5 PM. You will receive a newsletter with storage tips and recipes for 60 to 70 pounds of some variety of the following: potatoes, cabbage, winter squash, pie pumpkins, garlic, Brussels sprouts, beets, onions, leeks, carrots, kale, collard greens, spinach, Asian greens, cauliflower, broccoli, parsnips, dried beans, and turnips. Full payment of $100 will be needed by Nov. 12 to ensure your Thanksgiving Share registration, unless alternate payment arrangements have been preapproved. A special addition to our share is a 24 oz. jar ($12 value) of locally-grown, lacto-fermented veggies (some from Tantré Farm) from a local business called “The Brinery” (www.thebrinery.com).
